Painless Fractions

Junior high students really need to have mastered fraction concepts before they go on to algebra. Painless Fractions reviews the basics operations, definitions and manipulation of fractions (e.g., mixed numbers to improper fractions and changing fractions to decimals or percents), word problems, ratios and proportions, exponents, and order of operations. The last two categories are typically taught at junior high level, so you might use the rest of the book for review, saving these chapters for later. Explanations are brief with plenty of examples. Common errors to avoid are highlighted. Practice problems, called Brain Ticklers, follow each section. Answer keys are included within the book.
