Astronomy and the Bible

A good reference book for families, Astronomy and the Bible gives simple, sensible answers to basic astronomy questions from the viewpoint of a literal Bible interpretation. Many times definite answers cannot be given, so various proposed theories are presented. There are about 170 pages, packed full with information, plus a glossary and a list of other suggested resources for further study. It is divided into six main sections: the earth and moon, the solar system, the stars, galaxies and the universe, general science, and technical terms and ideas. I appreciate the fact DeYoung has included an index so that we can quickly locate specific topics. This is quite a thought provoking book, appropriate for ages ten and up, but especially good for high school level. (Reviewed by Valerie Thorpe and Cathy Duffy)
