Physical Science is covered with 24 DVDs, 12 PACEs, and a lab record. Both the PACEs and the DVDs teach science from a biblical perspective.

While the DVDs are optional, in my opinion they are the key element of this course, providing instruction as well as well-chosen film footage (National Geographic quality) to illustrate topics. These are interesting to watch and they coordinate with the PACEs. Students complete separate lab records as they watch experiments and demonstrations, although they do not actually do lab work themselves.

Topics covered are essentially an introduction to chemistry and physics, but the content is challenging. For example, chemistry gets fairly technically into chemical bonds and valence structures.

Some might choose to use PACEs by themselves, and this is adequate, although unexciting. In addition to the visual interest and value of video illustrations, videos have one more feature. While short stories and biblical applications are interspersed throughout the PACEs, the DVDs feature clips explaining and emphasizing character development plus short, fascinating facts relating to science.
